Introduction
Malawi’s constitutional democracy and human rights are hard won.The concepts are in addition new to Malawians.There are two primary duties for Malawians; to safeguard jealously those hard won freedoms and to mature grow and make democracy work.It is only a democratic society that is better placed to fight HIV/AIDS and contribute to community development.

A non-governmental organization, which is committed to empowering the youth, women and children, combating the spread of HIV infection, mitigating the impact of AIDS and promoting democracy and human rights for socio – economic development”

 Strategies

  • Civic education on human rights, democracy, citizenship and responsibilities
  • Community mobilization against human rights violations and abuse of power
  • Advocacy, lobbying, networking and information sharing
  • Information, communication and technology for HIV/AIDS prevention and promotion of human rights and democracy
  • Training and capacity building for community members on human rights, democracy and governance issues
  • Research and development for community development

Activities

  • Conduct community public debates on community development
  • Conduct advocacy work on youth, women and children reproductive health issues
  • Organize national and international forums on youth, women and children development
  • Establish community information and resource centers in the rural areas
  • Develop and produce I.E.C. materials on youth, women and children issues
  • Train traditional, community and youth leaders in human rights and democracy
  • Train community members how to monitor, investigate, documentation and reporting of human rights
  • Train community members how to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their Member of Parliament
  • Conduct research in youth, women and children
